We are approaching the end of another successful year for the music with being just days off of the 2 Million YouTube subscribers mark. We feel lucky and happy to be able to do this for a living, and want to celebrate the 2 Million subscribers milestone as well as the success this year by making an effort as a community to give back to the world.
As we often read the comments on YouTube, we see a lot comments simply expressing love for the music, but also a lot of people that struggle with loneliness and depression with the message that the music helps them with their hardships. While we are happy to be able to help in that sense, we felt like going the extra mile by organizing a fundraiser with the benefits going towards “To Write Love On Her Arms” (or TWLOHA for short), an organization that devotes itself to helping people that are struggling with mental health issues like depression and addiction. Until Christmas eve, we will be collecting donations through our lofi hip hop stream.
The Fundraiser
From December 17th until December 24th, people can donate whatever they can miss to the charity and together we work towards our goal of $20,000 (or more!). Donations will be shown on the live stream (and you can add a little message to go with it), and to make it special we have thought of rewards and milestones to make it special as well as give that extra push to donate!
Rewards
Apart from the fulfilling feeling of putting your money towards something positive we have teamed up with your favorite artists and labels to put together mystery packages containing merchandise, vinyl, drawings and other items. If you donate more than $20 you can be in the race to win one of the 20+ care packages put together by the artists and us!
Furthermore everyone that donates will get a thank you gift from us all at Chillhop!
Milestones
Apart from rewards, we’ve also put together some milestones, through which different things will be unlocked as we pass certain amounts.
- $5,000 – We will release a wallpaper pack to everyone who donates to the cause!
- $10,000 – The raccoon has been working on his beats. At $10,000 we will send all donators a beattape with 50 of the best beats by the raccoon.
- $15,000 – To fully get into the Christmas spirit, we will shower the raccoon with gifts!
- $20,000 – We will release the Chillhop Yearmix 2018 and offer it as free download.
