What happens after I sign up?
Once you sign up and the signups close, we will send you an envelope with 5 empty post cards as well as an email with the information of the 5 people you are matched with.
What info do I need to fill on the form?
The minimum required info is your basic info and address so people can find you. Additionally and optionally, you can add any sort of back information to help the sender make your card more personal. Think of things like favorite hobbies, your favorite artist or TV show, or anything you have been struggling with lately. However, please make sure to not include information which is too sensitive!
Is the person I am gifting to the same person who is gifting to me?
Yes, the 5 people who you send a card to are the same people who will send a card to you!
What will I receive?
You should receive 5 cards if everything goes right and no cards get lost along the way!
What do I write on the cards?
Some people will include some back information, some people won’t, but it’s all up to your creativity, as long as the message has a positive influence on the receiver. Perhaps a little story or anecdote about yourself, or a little something about the person you’re writing to. Maybe just a little random warm message would work as well, it’s all up to you! If you’re good at drawing, include a drawing!
What happens with my personal information after the event?
We will delete all personal information we have stored of the people.
What’s the cost and what do I pay for?
The Chillhop team will take on the cost of the post cards and the price of mailing the empty post cards to you. The costs for you to send the cards to people all around the world is your responsibility. However, as it’s a simple post card, the costs stay fairly low regardless of where your match is located.
I’m younger than 18, can I join?
Sadly, we cannot allow people below the age of 18 or where it’s illegal where you live. Check out our terms and conditions for more info on this.
Can I include any extras?
Certainly, you’re free to include any extra items which will make the package more enticing. Please check our terms for a list of prohibited items to include, however.
I’m late shipping my gift. What should I do?
It’s not a problem if you’re a little late, but try to send it asap anyway!
Can I share the cards I send or receive?
For sure, we want to share stories and posts about the exchange on our social media pages. Use the hashtag #PenPaws to make sure we see the posts. :)
