This notice applies to the Chillhop Music mobile application and to authentication through app.chillhop.com (together, the “App”). It is part of the Chillhop Privacy Policy, which is the main description of how Chillhop Music B.V. handles personal data. If this notice and the Privacy Policy conflict on an App-specific point, this notice controls for the App.

1. The App is part of the Chillhop Platforms

The App uses the same login API and the same user-statistics system as chillhop.com and chillhop.city. If you sign in, you are using your Chillhop account. Your profile, playlists, likes, presets and listening or usage statistics are stored against that account and are available on the other Chillhop Platforms. Signing in on the App is not a separate, isolated registration.

You do not have to create an account to listen in a guest or limited mode, where the App offers that. Guest use still generates technical and analytics data as described below.

2. Information we collect in the App

In addition to the categories in the Privacy Policy, the App may collect:

• Account data, if you sign in — name, email, avatar, preferences, and linked sign-in providers (for example Apple, Google, YouTube or Twitch).
• Usage and user statistics — features you use, music or stations you play, session length, crashes and similar events. These statistics are combined with activity from chillhop.com and chillhop.city when they belong to the same account.
• Device information — device type, operating system, language, IP address, app version, and, where the operating system allows and you have not limited it, advertising or device identifiers (such as IDFA or Android advertising ID).
• Diagnostics — crash and performance data used to keep the App working.
• Information you send us — support messages, feedback or other content you submit from the App.

We do not require payment-card data to use the free App. Purchases in other Chillhop shops or stores are handled by those platforms under their own notices.

3. How we use App information

We use App information to provide and improve the App, authenticate you across Chillhop Platforms, keep user statistics consistent, fix bugs, measure use (including through Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager where allowed), respond to you, and comply with law. Legal bases are set out in the Privacy Policy (contract, legitimate interests, consent for optional analytics or advertising, and legal obligation).

4. Analytics and advertising identifiers

We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand how the App is used. These tools may process IP address, device identifiers and in-app events. Where required, we ask for your permission before using non-essential analytics or advertising identifiers. You can also reset or limit advertising identifiers in your device settings.

5. Sharing

We share App information as described in the Privacy Policy: across Chillhop Platforms as one controller, with processors who host or analyse the App for us, with sign-in providers you choose to connect, and where the law requires. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Your rights, children, retention and transfers

Your rights, our retention periods, international transfers, children’s rules (the App is not for anyone under 16) and complaint routes are the same as in the Privacy Policy. You can delete the shared Chillhop account from the App or another Chillhop Platform; that deletion applies across chillhop.com, chillhop.city and the App.

7. Changes and related documents

We may update this notice in the same way as the Privacy Policy. Use of the App is also governed by the Terms of Service.
