Since 2022, California-based producer Enluv has released eight tracks with Chillhop Music. From solo tracks to collaborations with Molly McPhaul, Kendall Miles, azayaka, squeeda, and if only, he's been a prominent artist in our instrumental community. Now, to help us launch our new single series in 2025, Enluv provides us with his ninth offering: "Engines", an upbeat and electrified lofi single. The track features musician Pat's Soundhouse, who performed the main melody with the khaen: a bamboo-made mouth organ and the national instrument of Laos. The two artists have strong chemistry on this collaborative track, blending cultures and sounds for an uplifting and energized instrumental. While the synth-heavy opening ramps up the BPM, the breakdown is almost ambient and dream-like, creating a strong contrast for a song that's less than three minutes long.
