Paris-based producer j'san built "Throwback" around a sample from Janko Nilović, the pianist whose work has been lifted by Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, and The Alchemist. Chopped keys and smooth melodies sit over hard-hitting drums, landing between lo-fi jazz and instrumental hip hop.
